I’m a proudly queer South Asian documentary director living and working in London.
As a self-shooting observational filmmaker, I am driven by a passion for telling stories, making films with strong narratives and human stories at their heart, and forming meaningful and trusting relationships with my contributors.
I have a track record of pitching and winning commissions from my own independent ideas, and have made films for a number of different broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4 and Paramount +.
I was chosen to be one of Edinburgh TV Festival’s ‘Ones to Watch’ in 2019, and a TV Collective Breakthrough Leader in 2024.
I also present and produce a weekly women’s football podcast called Screamers, alongside directing.
